Countdown to Memorial Day

Want To Donate To Belmar Boardwalk? Final Day is May 15

Borough extended its deadline for donations

Belmar has extended its "Buy a Board" campaign to May 15. The original deadline was April 30, but Mayor Matt Doherty announced recently that the borough would be accepting donations through Wednesday, May 15. "Buy a Board" is a fundraiser that will put names on boardwalk entrances and funds in the boardwalk rebuilding coffers. The "Buy a Board" campaign is part of that effort, and the borough has set up donor levels ranging from $5,000 to $25. Now those looking to give can make a donation via credit card on the borough website, where previously print applications were only available. Mayor…

Being a part of this Phoenix arising in the wake of Sandy is a tribute to the spirit of tenacity in the face of adversity. This is a great gift for a family. Buy a board(s) & then make a New Year's Resolution to bring everyone to Belmar Boardwalk's grand opening! My children are looking forward to being there. Then, let the party begin & the good times at the shore live on!   more ›
