The Belmar Board of Education agreed on its meeting schedule for 2013. The monthly meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are as follows: The meeting schedule was approved at the January reorganization meeting. Regular Board of Education meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the school 1101 Main Street in Belmar.
Superintendent says weeks ahead will focus on core curriculum options
With their right hands raised, four Belmar residents swore to faithfully serve the school board, kicking off their terms of office at the Belmar Board of Education reorganization meeting. Sworn in for a three year term: Joanne Gray, Christine Kurzweil and Richard Brand. Aileen Fahy was sworn in to a one year term. Cherie Adams was chosen again to serve as board president; Mark Walsifer will again serve as vice president. Superintendent David Hallman said the agenda for the next month would focus on exploring two initiatives.
