A portion of Route 36 in West Long Branch will be closed on Wednesday night as police investigate a recent accident that occurred in the area, according to the West Long Branch Police The highway will be closed eastbound between Broadway and Monmouth Road from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Members of the Monmouth County Serious Collision Accident Analysis Team will be taking measurements for their investigation of an accident that occurred last week. Police did not specify which accident they will be investigating, but they have said they are still investigating an accident in the area that left one man dead on Friday, Dec. 14.
