Indictment: Lake Como Man Stole Car, Money, In Wall

Two counts of third degree theft from August incident

A Lake Como man was indicted on two counts of theft for stealing a car and money from a Wall resident, according to the indictment. Justin Dzwonkowski, 24, was indicted Wednesday on two counts of theft stemming from an Aug. 21 incident in Wall.  Authorities charge wthat Dzwonkowski stole a car and $1,781 in cash from a Wall resident. Dzwonkowski will face two counts of third degree theft, according to the indictment.

Manasquan Man Charged with Burglary, Jewelry Thefts in Marlboro

Michael Thoma, 23, was arrested in September in connection with five Marlboro burglaries. Police filed additional charges this week.

Marlboro police charged Michael Thoma, 23 of Manasquan this week in connection with multiple burglaries committed between August and September of 2012. In August, Thoma, who previously had a New Brunswick address, allegedly gained entry to two homes in Marlboro through an unlocked back door. County reports do not indicate what, if anything was stolen at that time. In September, Thoma allegedly entered two Marlboro Township homes, stealing a combined $35,000 worth of jewelry. Thoma was arrested at the end of September by police after allegedly burglarizing five homes in Marlboro and allegedly stealing $17,000 worth of jewelry from a Manalapan home. Indictment: Bradley Beach Man Steals $12G from Wendy's

Two counts of theft in indictment handed up Monday

A Bradley Beach man was indicted by a grand jury this week on charges he stole $12,000 from a local fast food chain store, according to court documents. Samuel N. Noriega, 35, was indicted on Monday on theft charges stemming from a June 2012 incident, according to the indictment. Noriega took $12,000 from a Wall Township Wendy’s restaurant between June 28 and June 30, the indictment says. He was indicted on one count of third degree theft and one count of theft by failure to make required disposition, according to the indictment.

It is a vexing problem, I know. Unfortunately that's above my pay grade. I've informed the proper people about it, and I've been assured they're working on it. The problem apparently isn't exclusive to Wall Patch, however. It appears its a Patchwide thing, which has gotten the attention of the tech people here. Local Purse Snatchers Indicted on Manasquan Charges

Belmar man, Bradley Beach woman face three counts from summer arrests

Two locals recently were indicted on charges including theft for their alleged roles during an incident in Manasquan last summer, documents show.  Daniel Ferrara Jr., 40, of 14th Avenue in Belmar, and Wendy Siemon, 45, of Bradley Boulevard in Bradley Beach, each were indicted on three counts stemming from several alleged thefts in Manasquan and Neptune, the indictment says.  The pair is charged with third-degree theft of movable property for stealing a purse containing items including cash worth in excess of $500 on July 6 in Manasquan, the indictment says. They also face fourth-degree conspiracy and theft charges for stealing a purse containing more than $200 worth of cash and items on June 23 in Neptune, the indictment says.

Police report second theft of grill from residential yard

There may be some "BBQ bandits" on the loose in Manasquan, as borough police this week reported a second theft this month of a barbecue grill from a resident's backyard. In what now seems like a possible developing trend, two barbecue grills this month, and possibly in as many days, have been stolen from backyards while residents weren't home, Police Chief Elliott Correia said.  A First Avenue resident, after returning from a long trip, reported Sept. 20 that their Weber gas grill was missing from the home's backyard after, Correia said.  Police who investigated the report discovered that a neighbor noticed the grill was no longer in the resident's backyard on Sept. 9 -- one day before a Whiting Avenue resident reported that a Weber gas …

Police: Eight Bikes Stolen in Two Weeks

Manasquan police report several recent thefts, two burglaries

Manasquan police the last two weeks have responded to several reports of thefts, including eight bikes, two purses and a set of tools, authorities said. There also was a burglary reported late last month on Fletcher Avenue, and another Aug. 9 on Beachfront, according to a release from the Manasquan Police Department.  Bike thefts are an ongoing problem in the borough, and police have asked residents to make sure their bikes are locked up or stored in a safe place, like a garage or home.  Residents can also register their bikes at the police department and in any other towns they frequent.  Most bikes in town are stolen when they're not locked up, Police Chief Elliott Correia has said. Neptune City Man Charged in Manasquan Rx Fraud

Police say Christopher K. Becker forged stolen blank prescription to buy Xanax

A Neptune City man was indicted this week on several charges for allegedly forging a stolen prescription blank to buy Xanax in Manasquan, the indictment says.  Christopher K. Becker, 25, of Bradley Street, faces three counts in Superior Court for the alleged May 14 incident, the indictment says.  Becker is charged with one count each of uttering a forged instrument, receiving stolen property, and attempted obraining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, the indictment says. All are third-degree crimes. The indictment, dated Aug. 7, was signed by acting county Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Police: NY Man Stole Guitar from Boathouse Act

Scheduled to make initial appearance in Superior Court Wednesday

A New York man was arrested over the weekend after, police say, he stole a guitar from a Belmar bar.  Darren E. Garofolo, 39, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., is charged with theft for allegedly stealing a red Gibson electric guitar from the Boathouse Bar and Grill on Saturday, the criminal complaint says.  The guitar and case, valued at $2000, belonged to an individual identifed in the complaint only as "M.D." The bar's website listed Mike Dalton as Saturday's performer.  Garofolo, who was not arrested until Sunday, is scheduled to appear in court 1 p.m. Wednesday, the complaint says.  His bail was set at $15,000 with no ten-percent option.

Manasquan Police Investigating Two Thefts

Residents reported stolen lawn ornaments, iPhone last week

The Manasquan Police Department is investigating two thefts that were reported the same day last week, according to authorities.  Residents on East Main Street reported June 25 that two clay turtle statues were stolen from their porch the previous weekend, Chief Elliott Correia said this week.  The clay statues each weigh 30 pounds and were orange and green in color, Correia said.  The East Main Street home is located in the beach area, Correia said.  Patrolman John Mahoney is investigating the incident, according to a department release.  Also on June 25, a resident reported a theft of an iPhone on Highway 71, the release says.  Sgt. Gregory Restivo is investigating the incident, the release says.
