Algonquin Theatre's 'Cinema Under the Stars' Returns Monday
Academy Award-winning, family films top this summer's list of weekly showings
Cinema Under the Stars, Algonquin Arts Theatre’s free outdoor movie theatre, returns with four titles beginning Monday, July 23, with Academy Award-winner “Hugo," a theater spokesman said. The series continues July 30 with the Disney animated classic “Lady & The Tramp” and August 6 with “The Muppets” (2011), according to a theater release. The final film of the summer, “Mary Poppins” starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, is scheduled for August 13, the release says. Each movie will be projected on the Algonquin Arts Theatre flytower in Old Squan Plaza, Abe Voorhees Drive, at 8 p.m., the release says.
