Manasquan Man Charged with Burglary, Jewelry Thefts in Marlboro
Michael Thoma, 23, was arrested in September in connection with five Marlboro burglaries. Police filed additional charges this week.
Marlboro police charged Michael Thoma, 23 of Manasquan this week in connection with multiple burglaries committed between August and September of 2012. In August, Thoma, who previously had a New Brunswick address, allegedly gained entry to two homes in Marlboro through an unlocked back door. County reports do not indicate what, if anything was stolen at that time. In September, Thoma allegedly entered two Marlboro Township homes, stealing a combined $35,000 worth of jewelry. Thoma was arrested at the end of September by police after allegedly burglarizing five homes in Marlboro and allegedly stealing $17,000 worth of jewelry from a Manalapan home.
