VIDEO: Lt. Governor Visits Old Monmouth Candies

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno stopped by Old Monmouth Candies while on a tour of Monmouth, Ocean and Mercer County Chocolate Manufactures.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno made an appearance in Freehold last week to get an inside look at one of Monmouth County’s oldest candy manufactures. On Friday, Feb. 8, Guadagno spent her day visiting Monmouth, Ocean and Mercer County chocolate manufactures. Her stop in Monmouth County was at Old Monmouth Candies. There, she spoke to business owners Susan and Hal Gunther about the history of the business while going on a tour of the facility. Since Friday’s visit was during Valentine’s Day preparations, Guadagno was able to see Old Monmouth Candies' vast seasonal selection along with the store’s most well known product; peanut brittle. Lt. Governor's Tour Highlights Fast Growing Business

Kim Guadagno toured Diversant's headquarters Wednesday.

In an effort to learn the strategies employed by those New Jersey companies that have been able to buck recent trends by succeeding in a tumultuous state and national economy, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno has been making the rounds as part of her fastest growing businesses tour. Her most recent stop: Monmouth County and DIVERSANT, a national IT staffing and solutions firm and Minority Business Enterprise headquartered in the Greater Red Bank area.
