Arts Council gets $10,000, VNA awarded $25,000
Several Monmouth County nonprofits were recently awarded grants from the Horizon Foundation of New Jersey to support their missions. The Monmouth County Arts Council received a grant of $10,000, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey received an award of $25,000. With the busiest shopping day of the year just one week away, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs is reminding shoppers to know their rights about rainchecks, gift cards and refunds and to check the national list of recalled toys before going online or to stores this holiday shopping season. “We’re seeing a resurgence in layaway plans offered by stores this year," said Thomas R. Opinionated, I also agree, Personally l like to give a gift or Cash only. This way the receiver of the gift can go any where they want. I also have a problem with restrictions on cards and the fact they can go out of business, Which most likely the person who paid, mies well have thrown their money in the garbage.
