ASBURY PARK Asbury Park offers something for everyone, from the beautiful beach to live music to great restaurants. Seasonal beach badges cost $70 for adults and $20 for seniors and teens. Weekday passes are $5 with the cost for weekends and holidays going up to $6. After the season's first major snowfall, the task of snow removal begins.
The worst is over, but the clean-up effort has just begun. The late holiday weekend storm that dumped up to 30 inches of snow on the Jersey Shore and left local businesses and government offices paralyzed has left the area. The storm left dozens of cars stranded on major highways and state police reported over one hundred motor vehicle accidents on state roadways. Many residents were left trapped in their homes as drifting snow piled up to heights of nearly five feet. Power outages left many New Jersey residents without heat as blustery winds and the weight of snow downed power lines in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
