Police ID Pedestrian Who Was Struck, Killed
44-year-old had last known address in Belmar
Brick Township police have identified the person who was struck and killed after being hit by a car while attempting to cross Brick Boulevard Dec. 23. The pedestrian was positively identified Thursday as 44-year-old Andriy "Andrew" Pazderskyy, with a last known address in Belmar. An ongoing investigation by the Brick Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit led to the identification of Pazderskyy, said Brick Police Sgt. David Bedrosian. The department's investigation into the accident is ongoing, Bedrosian said. At the time of the accident, police said the man now identified as Pazderskyy hopped over the concrete 'Jersey' barrier 30 feet south of the intersection of Brick Boulevard and Cedar Bridge Avenue.
