And why haven't the dunes been rebuilt? That should have been one of the first things done, after clearing the surf, to build some protection back in.

What a great Honor it was for the V.I.C.Fund. A big Thank You to Sue Tellone, Denise Wegman…Read More (Counselors at the High School) and Nancy Sanders (Counselor at the Elementary School) and all the counselors in the sending district for their continued support and guidance with the generous funds that we have received. Without them this could not have been possible. These funds were received by many of our local community members, individuals, the Robin Hood Foundation & Ocean First Foundation as well as many others. It's been a great experience working with the VIC Fund Committee, whom I consider FAMILY!!! We know we have the ability to come together as a community and rise up and show our children once again the power of Effort, Teamwork, Commitment and the pride of healing.

Did you have Toms River apply for the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program under your behalf?…Read More Municipalities and states are only entitled so the township will apply for you. This is grant money for the cost of elevating your home. Did you fill out the paperwork? Also, did you apply for the ICC grant money as well? Lastly, you can also apply for a SBA loan up to $200,000 payable back in 30 years with an interest rate as low as 1.67%. Lastly, that $120,000 house raising estimate is much too high. Continue to shop around as you should be in the area of $75,000 to $90,000.
It's been a nightmare, myself included, but let's make certain we are helping ourselves by utilizing all the programs and grant monies available as we rebuild our lives.

Frank, have you been smoking crack? New Orleans got all the help they needed immediately? Six years…Read More later there are hundreds of homes never rebuilt, and never will be, whole neighborhoods abandonded. I get it that you're not happy, nobody ever is after a disaster. Things will never be the same as before. Some folks will never recover, many will have to move. Many found out too late that they were underinsured. Don't act like New Jersey is different, this same things happens everywhere there is a major hurricane/disaster.

No reason most of Ocean Ave couldn't have been open 7-weeks ago never mind waiting another 7-days.…Read More Look at every other town up and down the coast, even those damaged much worse than Belmar, and their beach roads have been open for weeks or months. But Doherty decreed Belmar's roads would stay closed and so it was. King Doherty says and so it is done and off with the heads of those who question him.

Had Ocean Avenue been open to traffic, there would have been gawkers in vehicles slowing the work…Read More crews. Didn't you watch the video of just how rapidly the pylons were being driven in...One every 5 minutes! Now imagine how much 18 wheel truck traffic was needed just to supply pylons that quickly.
