Benefit For Children Of Longtime Belmar Borough Employee

Doors open at 6 p.m. at D'Jais Bar & Grill at 18th and Ocean avenues.

Fred Faas has worked for the Borough of Belmar for more than 25 years.

Faas earlier this year was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Cancer was also found in several other parts of his body. The future is not bright for Fred Faas, who realizes he will not be able to provide for his children, aged 9 and 10.

Faas' family and friends invite you to come to D'Jais Bar & Grille -- 18th and Ocean avenues -- on Saturday to help make a brighter future for Faas' children.

A $20 donation will get you two free drinks and a free buffet. All the money raised will go toward the college education of Faas' children.

Doors open at 6 p.m.
