Just before the newly opened Ocean Avenue bridge, construction on Avon's boardwalk is progressing behind high chain-link fence.
New pilings are in place there, but the chipped cement blocks of the wall adjacent to the sidewalk, and older, damaged pilings are the signs that mark further construction left on the Avon beachfront.
