Belmar offers free beach access and some special events July 6 as part of its "Military Appreciation Day" for armed forces members.
Belmar is giving free beach access to active duty military, fire, police and EMS members and their families with proper identification all season.
But today, active duty military can enjoy special events. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 5th Avenue beach will be serving up some fun with a DJ and other activities, also free.
