Final Weekdays of Unguarded Beaches

Towns instate weekday hours starting mid-June

It's your last chance to have a weekday at the beach and leave your beach badge at home.

While towns such as Manasquan and Belmar have lifeguards out on the weekends, soon the towns will revert to daily hours.

In Manasquan, beaches will be guarded daily beginning June 15 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A daily beach badge is $8.

Beach badges will be required until Labor Day. Belmar violators will be issued a summons and escorted from the beach and may not return until they have obtained a badge.
