St. Rose Student Headed to National Karate Competition

Medals in state competition qualify youngster for nationals

St. Rose Grammar School student Michael Yuschak is headed to the AAU National Karate Championship in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on July 1.

The fifth-grader, a Neptune resident, qualified for the national tournament during the AAU State Karate Championship at Drew University where he garnered a silver medal in Kodudo (weapons) and a bronze medal in Kumite (fighting.)
