Wall Students Win Highest Awards In Art Competition

The Art Department at Wall High School is excited to announce that two of their students have won the highest awards of the Art Educators of New Jersey's Youth Art Month (YAM) State Competition.

Jill Alexander's student, Kayla Catanzaro, won the billboard design portion of the competition and her work will be featured on two billboards in New Jersey, one on Allaire Circle and Route 34 from 2/24/14 – 3/24/14, and, the other, in Trenton, at an undisclosed location.

Mychelle Kendrick's student, Bridget Foster, won for best flag design and will be made into a 6' cloth flag that will represent the State of New Jersey for the National Youth Art Month ceremony in Washington D.C. and at the National Art Educators Association Convention later this year in California.

Both students and their teachers will be included in the State YAM poster and are invited to an awards ceremony in Trenton in March. The NJ State YAM Exhibit will be held from March 1st through March 7th , at the Statehouse in Trenton. Don’t miss your chance to see Kayla and Bridget’s award winning artwork.
