Sunday mass to be held 10 a.m. at church; Parent meeting at noon

St. Rose Grammar School and St. Rose High School are scheduled to re-open on Monday, Nov. 12, officials said.

A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday in St. Rose Church, High School Prinicipal Sr. Kathy Nace said.

At noon Sunday there will be a parent meeting for the high school parents to give them an update on the clean-up project at the high school, Nace said.

The grammar school sustained minimal damage, and although it lost a portion of its roof, there was no flooding at all in that building, Nace said.

The roof has been secured and we be replaced by Nov. 9, she said.

Crews on Friday continued to drain the first floor of the High School for a second day.

Nace has said the school flooded in the 100s and 400s cooridoors and cafeteria.

The school can operate temporarily without use of the classrooms in those hallways, Nace has said.
