POLL: Random Drug Testing Returns To Manasquan; What Do You Think?

The school board has reinstated random drug testing for students, according to The Asbury Park Press.

The Board of Education voted 6-2, with one abstention, to bring back testing that began in 2008 after a survey found that alcohol and drug use were higher at the high school than the national average, according to the Press.

The school board listened to complaints, and suspended the policy. On Dec. 10, the board held a policy committee meeting with the parents and Sports Safe Testing Service, the company that administers the tests, to probe the merits of the policy, according to the Press.
