Longtime Manasquan Schools Official Expected To Resign

Margaret Hom, longtime board business administrator, is expected to resign Tuesday.

A 25-year veteran of the Manasquan Public Schools system is calling it quits and moving to an Ocean County school district, officials said Tuesday.

The Manasquan Board of Education Tuesday night is expected to accept the resignation of Margaret Hom, longtime board business administrator, according to Renae LaPrete, interim schools superintendent.

Hom has accepted a business administrator position in Stafford Township. She was approved by the Stafford school board at its Aug. 28 meeting. Her contract runs from Nov. 1 to June 30, according to the Stafford Schools business office.

Hom, who lives in Ocean County, collected a $183,796 salary from the Manasquan district last year, according to public records.

A request for comment from Hom was not returned Tuesday afternoon.
