Lacey (10-0) had taken a 31-17 lead in the fourth quarter when Christian Tutela caught a pass from Conor Davies for a 19-yard touchdown. But the Indians responded with touchdowns from Russell Messler and Otis Kearney, who scored on a 31-yard run, his third touchdown of the game, to tie it at 31.

That’s when Spatz took over, scoring from 14 yards out and adding an 8-yard TD to lift Lacey into the semifinals. The Lions, who do not have a Thanksgiving game, will host Kingsway on Dec. 1.

Colts Neck 34, Steinert 20:  Gio Zefferino caught a pass from Mike Campbell for a 39-yard touchdown for the go-ahead score, and the Cougars (8-1) held off a late effort by the Spartans to win a first-round game in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV playoffs.

Anthony Gargiulo rushed for 234 yards and a touchdown, and Garrett Federico kicked two field goals for Colts Neck, which faces Middletown South on Nov. 30 in the sectional semifinals.

Colts Neck is scheduled to play Howell this week for Thanksgiving.

Delbarton 55, St. John Vianney 14: The Lancers (5-4) managed to score on their first possession of the game, but it was all Green Wave the rest of the way, as Delbarton (8-1) won the Non-Public Group III game.

Eric Gomez scored from a yard out for Vianney to open the game. Antony Brown scored a 14-yard touchdown late for the Lancers, who host Matawan this week for Thanksgiving.
