Manasquan Candidates File Petitions

Borough voters will decide on mayor, two council seats in November

Manasquan will see both a council and a mayoral election in November.

Sitting mayor George Dempsey, a Democrat, will run for re-election against current Councilwoman Patricia Connolly, a Republican.

The terms of councilmen Joe Lucas, a Republican, and Jeff Lee, a Democrat, are both set to expire at the end of the year. Lucas will seek re-election and Lee will not.

Republican Richard Norris will run for a seat on council, as will two former council members Democrats Joe Bossone and Michael Mangan.

The filing deadline for June 7 primary elections was 4 p.m. Monday, April 11.
