Gov. Chris Christie will return to coastal Monmouth today, this time to highlight Sea Girt's dune and beach rebuilding projects after Hurricane Sandy.
The governor, who was in Bradley Beach and Belmar last month to bring attention to the respective progress being made in those towns, has shaped a similar visit for Sea Girt.
Christie is scheduled to arrive at the boardwalk at 11 a.m. and then hold a press conference at 11:15 a.m. at the National Guard Training Center, Building 26, Sea Girt Avenue and Camp Drive.
The visit marks the beginning of reconstruction along the Sea Girt Boardwalk.
But the rich and famous will get to glimpse the man who is selling the NJ shore right down the drain. And imagine, FEMA is about to give portions of the barrier islands zone A ratings so they can pay the very lowest for flood insurance. More "social justice" which favors the elite over the majority. Maybe the governor will be running on the democrat line. I live on 10' pilings and our house came through dry but FEMA wants us to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to redo those pilings and push them up four more feet. That would most likely damage the structural integrity of this well built house so if we don't go along with the Christie driven gag, we are looking at flood insurance premiums of $7000 annually. The value of our home is now zero and we will take our time and tax dollars to another state where leaders are supposed to work and study and actually lead. Christie obviously is incapable of doing the job he has now but in his mind he is off and moving to Washington. May he choke on his next donut.
