Borough Seeking More Sandy Reimbursement Money

The Borough will be applying for an additional $35,000 in Superstorm Sandy-related grants following a vote of the Borough Council this week.

The council on Monday voted unanimously to proceed with the application process to be considered for a Post-Sandy Planning Assistance grant, a competitive grant offered through the state Department of Community Affairs.

The council will seek $30,000 to cover the cost of a Strategic Planning Recovery report and $5,000 for preparation of Requests for Proposals, according to the resolution authorizing the application.
