In addition to the tremendous emergency response from Hurricane Sandy, 2012 saw a year's worth of major crime and fire. Police, fire and other emergency responders saw multi-home blazes as well as water responses.
But the year also featured the emergency responders of the Manasquan-Belmar area engaged in many civic projects, too, and we dug out some of the top images from this year for a special photo gallery.
