Water Rescue In Manasquan River Near Brielle Bridge, Treasure Island

A person was rescued, reportedly by the Coast guard, near "Treasure Island" in the Manasquan River Saturday night.

Emergency personnel were called to the Brielle Bridge, near Point Pleasant Boro, Brick and Brielle, for a person who was reportedly in the water near the Crystal Point Yacht Club.

Brielle and Brick emergency personnel responded to the scene and assisted the Coast Guard, according to police communications.

I doubt they used a helicopter. They come from Atlantic city airport when the boats come from up the river at the inlet. Must be a kayaker or an ice skater.

Pretty large area of water between Crystal Point and Treasure island in water that's just above freezing, lucky there're still alive

I agree....send him the bill. Why was he out there in freezing cold temps without anyone nearby to assist him.

Could also be that there was no rescue, no rescue needed, and someone panicked and called the world for help that was not needed...
