Wall Man Caught in Belmar Charged With Being Fugitive
Local man, 23, now being held on $100K bail
The long arm of the law caught up with a Wall Township resident in Belmar this week.
Stephen D. Behringer, 23, of Allenwood Road, was arrested by Belmar police after they conducted a traffic stop and received a hit on Behringer in the National Crime Information Center database.
Behringer was taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, and held on $100,000 bail due to a warrant out of Franklin County, Pa., stemming from a drunk driving charge for which he previously failed to appear in court, records show.
