Manasquan police arrested two alleged drunken drivers earlier this month, authorities said.
Two locals were charged with DWI after being stopped on Highway 71 in separate incidents, according to a release from the Manasquan Police Department.
Carole Schmidt, 45, of Howell, was arrested Sept. 1 after being stopped on the state highway. Sgt. Nicholas Tumminelli made the arrest, the release says.
Jilly Madonna, 47, of Spring Lake Heights, was arrested ten days later on Sept. 11, on the same road and charged with driving while intoxicated. Patrolman Thomas Morton made the arrest.
Both arrests were the first two reported drunken driving incidents in the borough so far this month, according to police records.
