Belmar has removed 30 tons of dead fish since a fish kill was discovered in the Shark River a few days ago.
"Will continue cleaning up till all are gone," Mayor Matt Doherty wrote on this Twitter page.
He said the tide is bringing dead fish out of the Shark River and into the ocean. But the waves bring them onto the beach.
"I believe volunteers are done for the day. DPW still cleaning up," he said.
