Marc T. North, of Manasquan, charged with Oct. 5 burglary

A Manasquan resident this week was charged with burglarizing the borough's Department of Public Works (DPW) building, authorities said.

Marc T. North, 24, of Manito Road, is scheduled to appear in Municpal Court Oct. 24 at 9 a.m. facing allegations he stole more than $500 worth of materials from the DPW building on Iriquois Road, according to the criminal complaint.

North is charged with burglary, theft and concealing the stolen items in the basement of his home, in the 60 block of Manito Road, the complaint says.

Police say North committed the alleged crime on Oct. 5.

He is being held at Monmouth County jail on $75,000 bail, the complaint says.
