Polls open Tuesday at 6 a.m., closing at 8 p.m.

State and county authorities are stepping up measures to ensure that Tuesday’s general election runs smoothly.

The Attorney General’s office said Monday that 21 deputy attorney generals will be stationed in each of the state’s counties for Tuesday’s elections to assist in any voting-related legal issues.

The deputies will handle any court applications and provide timely legal advice to county election officials on emergent, voting-related matters.  Deputies will be on duty during the entire voting day, according to a release.
