Squan Trio Indicted for Pot Distribution

February raid on Brielle Road home ended with multiple arrests, dead pit bull

A grand jury this week indicted three Manasquan men for their to distribute an ounce of marijuana, documents show. 

Andrew S. Kelly, 25, Justin P. West, 24, and John D. Cameron, 23, face two counts in Superior Court, the indictment says.  

The trio, which shares a Brielle Road residency, is also charged with possession of more than 50 grams of pot, the indictment says.

They are charged with fourth-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, the indictment says. 

During the February raid, an agent from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force  and side. The dog survived the wounds but was later euthanized.

The pit bull was shot to protect the safety of the county law enforcement officers, said county Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni in February, then the first assistant prosecutor.
