Restricted Speed On NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway From Brick To New York

Speed restrictions have taken effect on the Garden State Parkway, in both directions, from Exit 90 in Brick to the New York state line in Montvale.

The speed limit is 45 miles per hour because of the heavy snow and roadway conditions, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

The entire New Jersey Turnpike has a speed restriction.

Drives are urged to use caution when traveling on the heavily-used roadway.

@Kitchen - I was on the Parkway yesterday (Saturday) and the snow/rain line was somewhere around exit 98.. North of 98 it was sticking and traffic was real slow.. below 98 it was rain and as @Charlie they were runnin around 70-75.. LOL I guess the dump trucks you saw @Kitchen were there just in case the rain/snow line changed... Ya gotta figure IF IT DID MOVE and there wasn't somebody out there doing anything people would be up in arms....so I guess they were being proactive rather than reactive... You'd think that they'd go by the weather forecast... but then again most times they're not worth SQUAT !!! About the only thing they get right is the time of Sunrise & Sunset....and who really checks ... :-)
