Slew of Arrests Close Out Belmar Summer

Borough police charge 15 with improper behavior in two weeks

Belmar police closed out the final two weeks of the summer season with more than a dozen arrests for improper behavior, authorities said. 

Borough police during the last week of August and first week of September charged 15 individuals with improper behavior and other offenses, according to a department release. 

Some of the accused individuals were from Belmar and other local towns, while several others were from northern New Jersey and elsewhere, the release says.

One Belmar resident was arrested twice during the same two-week period. 

Most of the arrests took place in the south end of town, according to the release.

Belmar police between Aug. 27 and Sept. 9 made the following arrests for improper behavior: 

  • Ramundo Quiroz-Quiroz, 23, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 27 at 12th Avenue and Route 35. Officer Michael Allen made the arrest. 
  • Nicholas Bregoli, 23, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested Aug. 28 at 16th and Railroad Avenues. Bregoli was also charged with marijuana possession and resisting arrest. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.  
  • John Brown, 57, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 28 at the Belmar train station. Officer Michael Yee made the arrest. Brown was arrested again Sept. 4 at the same location. Officer Ryan Nolan and Special Officer Michael Thompson made the Sept. 4 arrest. 
  • Jacob Sipos, 21, of Quakertown, Penn., was arrested Aug. 28 at Fifth and Ocean Avenues. Special Officer George Noble made the arrest.  
  • Paul Gaudio, 22, of East Brunswick, was arrested Aug. 29 at 16th Avenue and Route 71. Special Officer Randi Rodriguez made the arrest.  
  • Danielle Corbo, 24, of Carteret, was arrested Aug. 31 at 18th and Ocean Avenues. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.  
  • Vincenzo Capriglione, 24, of Dunellen, was arrested Aug. 31 at 19th and Ocean Avenues. Capriglione was also charged with criminal mischief with damage. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  
  • Nathaniel Hyden, 61, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 31 at 13th Avenue and Main Street. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.  
  • Adam Zaher, 24, of Middlesex, was arrested Aug. 31 at 15th Avenue and D Street. Zaher was also charged with resisting arrest. Special Officer Daniel Schlisserman made the arrest.  
  • Anthony Veltri, 29, of Holmdel, was arrested Sept. 2 at 18th and Ocean Avenues. Special Officer Ryan Bradley made the arrest.  
  • Joseph Naddy, 24, of Bayonne, was arrested Sept. 2 at 16th Avenue and Main Street. Special Officer Matthew Brown made the arrest.  
  • Evan Marx, 24, of Spring Lake, was arrested Sept. 2 at 15th Avenue and Main Street. Marx was also charged with criminal mischief with damage. Special Officer Michael Dilieto made the arrest.  
  • Blake Urquhart, 30, of Waterbury, Conn., was arrested Sept. 2 at 15th Avenue and Main Street. Special Officer Dalton Jacob made the arrest.  
  • Richard Calder, 54, of Belmar, was arrested Sept. 8 at the Belmar train station. Special Officer Mark Cosentino made the arrest.
