Several Thefts Reported in Manasquan

Bicycles, cell phones, skateboards and a kayak among stolen items

Manasquan police last week responded to several calls of reported thefts throughout the borough, authorities said. 

Police investigated seven incidents in which bicycles, skateboards and even a kayak were reported stolen, according to a department release.

Residents last week reported the following thefts:

  • Sept. 27: Theft of a bicycle on Curtis Avenue. Patrolman William Sutton investigated.  
  • Sept. 28: Theft of a bicycle on East Main Street. Patrolman Kenneth Hamill investigated.  
  • Sept. 29: Theft of an iPhone on Taylor Avenue. Patrolman Robert Wagner investigated.  
  • Sept. 2: Theft of a kayak on Second Avenue. Patrolman William Sutton investigated.  
  • Sept. 30: Theft of gift cards from a motor vehicle on Dewey Avenue. Patrolman Kenneth Hamill investigated.  
  • Sept. 30: Theft of two skateboards on Cowart Avenue. Sgt. Michael Stoia investigated.  
  • Sept. 30: Theft of a GPS from a motor vehicle. Patrolman Michael Tischio investigated.
