Several Thefts Reported in Manasquan

GPS navigators, bicycle and beach chairs among missing items

Manasquan police last week investigated several thefts, including beach chairs and an umbrella reportedly stolen from the beach area, authorities said. 

Police also investigated reports of two GPS navigators taken from motor vehicles parked in the borough, according to a release from the Manasquan Police Department. 

And, as usual, at least one bike was reported stolen last week, the release says.

Manasquan police investigated the following incidents during the week of Sept. 2-10: 

  • Sept. 4: Theft of a bicycle on Riddle Beach. Special Officer Randall Craig investigated.  
  • Sept. 5: Theft of beach chairs and umbrella on Beachfront. Sgt. Nicholas Tumminelli investigated.  
  • Sept. 7: Theft of a GPS from a motor vehicle on Lake Avenue. Patrolman Nicholas Norcia investigated.  
  • Sept. 7: Theft of a GPS and sunglasses from a motor vehicle on Ocean Avenue. Patrolman Kenneth Hamill investigated.
