Seven Arrested in Manasquan Last Week

Drug possession, burglary, simple assault among police charges

The Manasquan Police Department booked seven individuals last week, according to a department release. 

Just last weekend, a Staten Island man was arrested and charged with oxycodone possession and another New York man was arrested and charged with burglary, the release says. 

Three of the arrests were based on contempt of court charges, the release says.

The following individuals were arrested and charged by Manasquan Police between June 5 and June 10: 

-- Gareth Elliott, 27, of Stockton Lake Boulevard, was arrested June 5 on the same road and charged with contempt of court. Sgt. Michael Stoia made the arrest.

-- Leo Robert Foley, 29, of Holmdel, was arrested June 8 on Atlantic Avenue and charged with contempt of court. Patrolman John Mahoney made the arrest. 

-- Louis Giammella, 38, of Toms River, was arrested June 9 on Third Avenue and charged with contempt of court. Special Officer Mark McGowan made the arrest. 

-- Matthew McKay, 24, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested June 9 on Third Avenue and charged with possession of oxycodone, disorderly conduct, obstructing and resisting arrest. Special Officer Mark McGowan made the arrest. 

-- Brittany Sachs, 24, of New York, N.Y., was arrested June 9 on First Avenue and charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Patrolman Keith Stopera made the arrest. 

-- Eric Fellere, 26, of Mountainside, was arrested June 10 on Meadow Avenue and charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and improper behavior. Patrolman Nicholas Norcia made the arrest. 

-- Alphonse Briand, 21, of Bernardsville, was arrested June 10 on First Avenue and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing and resisting arrest. Special Officer James Albanese made the arrest.
