Police Make Arrests for Drugs, Illegal Entry, Theft Charges

A Spring Lake man is charged with multiple offenses after police say he broke a window, illegally entered a home, and was allegedly carrying marijuana.

According to Monmouth County court documents, the man broke a window to a residence, entered through the window into a home he was not permitted to be in.

John D. Cameron of Spring Lake was arrested the morning of May 27 after Spring Lake Police responded.


A Wall man is charged with drug possession after police there arrested Gary Borbotko, 29, on May 28 for allegedly having a envelope suspected of being "Steel Monkey" heroin. Borbotko is charged with the third-degree crime, $10,000 bail, as well as possession of three hypodermic needles, a disorderly persons offense.


A Belmar man is charged with knowingly using a stolen credit card, after he allegedly used the card at several locations around town, according to court documents.

Jason Elfers, 32, of Belmar, is charged with the third degree crime after police arrested him May 21 for allegedly using the stolen card to pay at places such as Dunkin Donuts and Boathouse Bar & Grill.
