Multiple Drug Arrests in Belmar

Cocaine, marijuana possession among charges

Belmar police made several drug-related arrests during the first half of August, authorities said. 

A few locals and several out-of-towners have been charged with drug possession and other offenses, according to a release from the Belmar Police Department. 

  • Kyle Derespinis, 21, of Colts Neck, was arrested Aug. 1 at 12th Avenue and E Street and charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine and paraphernalia, and tampering with public records. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest. 
  • Wellington Phillips, 40, of Trenton, was arrested Aug. 1 at Eighth and Ocean Avenues and charged with contempt and possession of marijuana. Special Officer Rocco Belloni made the arrest.  
  • Kareem Abou-Gharbia, 31, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 4 in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue and charged with harassment, and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Special Officer Christopher Ingliss made the arrest.  
  • Dylan Crosson, 21, of Belmar, was arrested Aug. 9 at 19th and Ocean Avenues and charged with possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated. Special Officer Aaron Lay made the arrest.  
  • Patrick Barnickel, 24, of Wall, was arrested Aug. 10 at the Highway 35 bridge and charged with criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. Special Officer Shawn Wilson made the arrest.  
  • Jason Carroll, 23, of Wall, was arrested Aug. 10 at the Highway 35 bridge and charged with criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. Special Officer Joseph Gawlik made the arrest.  
  • Dana Hogrefe, 37, of Bradley Beach, was arrested Aug. 10 at the Belmar train station and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and improper behavior. Capt. Andrew Huisman made the arrest.  
  • Robert Ramppen, 20, of Hackensack, was arrested Aug. 12 at 17th and Ocean Avenues and charged with possession of marijuana. Special Officer Mark Cosentino made the arrest.  
  • Emilio Gomez, 29, of Rutherford, was arrested Aug. 12 at 17th and Ocean Avenues and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski made the arrest.
