Manasquan Woman Indicted on Charges of Forging Oxycodone Prescription in West Long Branch

Charged with uttering a forged instrument and attempted obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance.

A Manasquan resident has been indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury for allegedly attempting to buy oxycodone using forged documents at a West Long Branch Walgreens.

Teresa Christiani, 24, of Parker Avenue, Manasquan, was indicted on June 2 and charged with uttering a forged instrument and attempted obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance. Both charges are third-degree crimes.

Uttering a forged instrument in a criminal offense where a person knowingly publishes or puts into circulation any forged or altered financial document, legal document or other writing with the intent to misrepresent it as true and defraud others, according to USLegal.com.

Christiani allegedly used a forged prescription form to attempt to buy oxycodone at the West Long Branch pharmacy on Jan. 30.
