Manasquan Police Charge Two with Simple Assault
Individuals charged last weekend in separate incidents
Manasquan police on Sunday made two arrests for alleged simple assault, authorities said.
One of the individuals is a Spring Lake resident, while the other is from Nutley, according to a department release.
Both arrests took place in the eastern part of town.

— Merritt McKay, 24, of Spring Lake, was arrested July 22 on First Avenue and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Special Officer Nicholas Austin made the arrest.
— Amy Belmonte, 23, of Nutley, was arrested July 22 on East Main Street and charged with simple assault. Patrolman Kenneth Hamill made the arrest.
