Manasquan Police Arrest Eight Last Week

Manasquan Police last week made eight arrests, including one of a borough resident for allegedly driving while intoxicted.

The 33-year-old Manasquan resident was stopped July 29 on First Avenue, according to a release from borough police.

Police also arrested to individuals in separate incidents for underage consumption of alcohol, the release says.

With the exception of the Manasquan resident charged with DWI, all of last week's arrests were of individuals under the age of 25.

Between July 21 and July 29, Manasquan police made the following arrests:

— Michael Sofia, 24, of Staten Island, N.Y., was arrested July 21 on First Avenue and charged with hindering. Special Officer Michael Terracciano made the arrest.

— Kevin Wall, 21, of Brielle, was arrested July 28 on Beachfront and charged with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass. Special Officer Jesse Waterson made the arrest.

— Matthew Ambro, 19, of Wading River, N.Y., was arrested July 28 on East Main Street and charged with providing false documents. Special Officer Mark McGowan made the arrest.

— [Name Withheld], 24, of East Virginia Avenue, was arrested July 28 on Third Avenue and charged with obstructing. Special Officer Jesse Waterson made the arrest.

— Chadwick Taylor, 20, of Point Pleasant Borough, was arrested July 29 on First Avenue and charged with failure to appear and underage consumption of alcohol. Special Officer Felicia Pappalardo made the arrest.

— Maximilia Dorne, 24, of Morristown, was arrested July 29 on First Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing. Special Officer Jesse Waterson made the arrest.

— Robert Zecher, 19, of Merrick, N.Y., was arrested July 29 on First Avenue and charged with underage possession of alcohol. Special Officer Nicolle Farina made the arrest.

— Robert Wright, 33, of Minerva Avenue, was arrested July 29 on Main Street and charged with driving while intoxicated. Patrolman Michael Tischio made the arrest.
