Manasquan Police Arrest 12 Last Week

Manasquan police last week made 12 arrests, authorities said.

According to a release from the Manasquan Police Department, the charges filed included weapon possession, drunken driving, and assaulting a police officer.

The following individuals were arrested by borough police between Aug. 19 and Aug. 26:

• Michael Keller, 51, of Brielle, was arrested Aug. 21 in Brielle and charged with failure to appear. Patrolman Keith Stopera made the arrest.

• Agostino Afonso, 19, of Tinton Falls, was arrested Aug. 22 on Lenape Trail and charged with possession of a weapon and harassment. Patrolman Michael Tischio made the arrest.

• Patrick Buckley, 28, of Killington, Vt., was arrested Aug. 23 on Highway 71 and charged with DWI. Patrolman Keith Stopera made the arrest.

• Michael Kochis, 28, of Raleigh, N.C., was arrested Aug. 19 on Brielle Road and charged with hindering. Special Officer Nicolle Farina made the arrest.

• A 17-year-old Whitehouse Station male was arrested Aug. 22 on First Avenue and charged with criminal mischief. Det. Adam Pharo made the arrest.

• A 16-year-old Whitehouse Station male was arrested Aug. 22 on First Avenue and charged with criminal mischief. Det. Adam Pharo made the arrest.

• A 17-year-old Flemington male was arrested Aug. 22 on First Avenue and charged with criminal mischief. Det. Adam Pharo made the arrest.

• Garrett Groesbeck, 31, of Conshohcken, Penn., was arrested Aug. 24 on First Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Special Officer Michael Jones made the arrest.

• James Lubeck, 40, of Second Avenue, was arrested Aug. 24 on Second Avenue and charged with DWI and assault by auto. Special Officer Roger Fernandez made the arrest.

• Scott Lewis, 21, of Hillsborough, was arrested Aug. 25 on First Avenue and charged with criminal mischief and hindering. Special Officer Douglas Teller made the arrest.

• Edward Mills, 31, of Hopatcong, was arrested Aug. 25 on Second Avenue and charged with contempt of court. Special Officer Mark McGowan made the arrest.

• Kaz Bagheri, 57, of Brielle, was arrested Aug. 26 at the Manasquan Police Department and charged with failure to appear. Sgt. Gregory Restivo made the arrest.
