Manasquan Man Charged With Swallowing Heroin After Getting Caught

A 28-year-old Manasquan man was charged with obstruction of justice in Howell after he swallowed "wax folds" of heroin last week, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.

Joseph Adamavage of Clark Street was confronted by a police officer in Howell on April 11 when he placed  the wax folds of suspected heroin into his mouth, according to court records. He then swallowed.

The records said he did "knowingly and willingly" obstruct the law by refusing to turnover the suspected heroin to officers.

He was held on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday at 5 p.m.
