Manasquan Man Charged with Spitting on Cop

Also used physical force against officers during his arrest, police say

A Manasquan man is due in court next week on charges he spit on a borough police officer, documents show. 

Miguel A. Sanchez, 36, of Main Street, was arrested Nov. 17 for knowingly ejecting from his mouth at a Manasquan cop "in the performance of his duty," the criminal complaint says. 

Sanchez also allegedly used force and/or violence to prevent two officers from arresting him, the complaint says.

Both charges are fourth-degree crimes, the complaint says.

Sanchez is scheduled to appear nov. 24 in municipal court, the complaint says.

His bail was set at $10,000 with no ten-percent option.
