Manalapan Man Indicted for Manasquan Heroin Bust

Faces possession, tampering and theft charges stemming from November arrest

A Manalapan man faces three counts in Superior Court stemming from an alleged heroin bust in Manasquan late last year, documents show. 

Thomas F. Price IV, 21, of Cooperhawk Drive, was indicted last week by a Freehold grand jury on charges of heroin possession, tampering with evidence and theft, the indictment says. 

Price was arrested Nov. 4, 2011, in Manasquan after allegedly trying to conceal the illegal drug from authorities during an investigation.

In addition to third-degree possession and fourth-degree tampering charges, Price is also accused of third-degree theft for allegedly stealing a controlled dangerous substance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

The indictment was signed May 18 by county Prosecutor Peter E. Warshaw Jr.
