Man Busted For Heroin Loots Manasquan House, Pawns 'Air Jordans' and Xbox

A 24-year-old Freehold man busted for heroin possession also allegedly tried to loot a Manasquan house, stealing "Air Jordans" sneakers an an Xbox.

Jose Tavares then tried to pawn the goods at Buy and Sell City in Freehold, police said.

Tavares was arrested on Thursday and charged with possessing a controlled dangerous substance and possessing six folded pieces of wax paper, all containing a powder suspected to be heroin.

He also possessed three hypodermic syringes.

Tavares was lodged in jail on $15,000 bail.
