Man Arrested In Wall On Stalking And Weapons Charges

A 24-year-old Warren man was arrested on stalking allegations and weapons possession on Wednesday in Wall, police said.

Scott G. Sivco, 24, of Warren is accused of being in possession of the alleged victims photograph, personal information, as well as a hunting knife, and two wooden batons. In addition, the accused repeatedly engaged in a course of conduct directed at the alleged victim that would cause a reasonable person to fear for safety.

Sivco was charged with stalking, crime of the fourth degree, possession of prohibited weapons and devices (wooden baton), crime of the fourth degree, unlawful possession of weapons (knife), crime of the fourth degree.

The stalking allegedly took place from Monday, April 7 to Wednesday, April 23.

Sivco was released after posting bail. Bail was set by Municipal Court Judge Joseph Defino, $3,000 bail with a 10 percent option.

The alleged victim is a Wall Township Police Officer and his identity will not be released at this time. In addition, a photograph of Sivco will not be released at this time.

Sivco was previously charged by the Wall Township Police Department on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 with driving while intoxicated.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
