Illegal Immigrant Indicted on Machete Charge

Man residing in Bradley Beach faces weapon charges

A man authorities say was illegally residing in Bradley Beach faces charges after police said he was found with a machete in March.

Crisoforo Montalvo, 27, of Newark Avenue was indicted last week by a Monmouth County grand jury on charges of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Police claim Montalvo had a machete in his possession on March 24 and intended to use it against an unidentified victim.

Authorities have previously said Montalvo is in the United States illegally. He is in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Also glad to see the reports coming from an area where more residents are of the illegal persuasion than not!
