Lake Como Man Allegedly Fails To Register As Sex-Offender

A 66-year-old Lake Como man was arrested last week for allegedly failing to register as a sex-offender, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.

Walter Damon of Redmond Avenue was charged with failing to re-register in Lake Como last Tuesday, according to court records.

Megan’s Law requires certain convicted sex offenders to register with law enforcement authorities, and provides for varying levels of community notification based upon the degree of risk posed to the offender’s community.

Damon was lodged on $2,500 bail, according to court records.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
